Eileen Davies (born 23rd September 1948 in Hastings, East Sussex) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Judge Ann Carmichael, who presided over two hearings at the family court in May and July 2006, in relation to Matt Ramsden's access to biological son Joshua Peacock.
- Emily Bishop's church-going friend Celia Smethurst in March and July 2015.
- Flora McArdle, the mother of Vinny Ashford in October 2017 and then from May to July 2018.
With an extensive acting career spanning back to the mid-1970s, she has been credited for roles in Village Hall, Within These Walls, Kavanagh QC, Wycliffe, Bleak House, Waterfront Beat, Keeping Up Appearances, Body & Soul, Waiting for God, Home Fires, Doctors, The House of Eliott, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, A Village Affair, Middlemarch, Foreign Affairs, Holby City, Scott & Bailey, The Royal, Seeing Red, Peak Practice, Foyle's War, Vera Drake, Midsomer Murders, The Bill, Heartbeat, My Hero, Judge John Deed, London's Burning, The Holding and most recently, Sightseers - for which she was nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" at the British Independent Film Awards.
She is in a long-term relationship with David Hobbs.
