The Driving Examiner took Steve McDonald through his driving test one day in November 1992. Steve was super-confident that he would pass and was staggered when he was told at the conclusion of the process that he had failed. The examiner felt he needed more experience under supervision, noting a couple of points that he could pay special attention to, with the general observation that he ought to control his speed better when approaching road junctions and corners. Steve needed to drive to deliver orders as part of his work at MVB Print for Mike Baldwin. He therefore lied that he has passed when he returned to the street, getting into trouble just two weeks later when he was involved in a car crash while in Mike's Jaguar and was unable to produce a valid licence.
