The Driver was given the job of delivering Christmas trees to Chesney Brown in December 2011, when Chesney and Gary Windass started a sale. When the driver turned up on Coronation Street, he couldn't read Chesney's address written down on his paper and was unsure as to whether it read "5 Coronation Street" or "8 Coronation Street". He asked a passing Owen Armstrong where Chesney lived and Owen, in a plan to get his revenge on David Platt for filling in his pond told the driver that Chesney lived at No.8, knowing that the driver would have to offload the trees onto David's drive as nobody was home.
