Amy Barlow had wandered off from Liz McDonald's side after spotting her grandparents, Ken and Deirdre Barlow, on the other side of Coronation Street, when the Driver - who was going at break-neck speed, almost mowed Amy down.

Harry Mason intervened by running out in front of the vehicle and scooped her to safety. Although the driver got out of his van to check that Amy was okay, he told the group of adults to make sure the child stayed on the pavement in future.
