Dr. Harris was called out to attend to Len Fairclough after Hilda Ogden had found him collapsed at Baldwin's Casuals in January 1979 while he was fitting a new sink. He was brought round by Mike Baldwin who took him home where a concerned Rita rang the doctor. He examined Len and confirmed that it wasn't a heart attack as he feared but had fainted as he had been pushing himself too hard at work. He prescribed no medicines but instead told Len to eat three good meals a day, ease up a bit, drink less and to come and see him in a week's time.
