Douglas Livingstone (born 23rd May 1934 in Dagenham, Essex; died 19th April 2021 in Kingston upon Thames) appeared on Coronation Street between July and August 1969 as petty crook Cliff Stone.
His other television credits included roles in Emergency-Ward 10, Z Cars, The Indian Tales of Rudyard Kipling, The Troubleshooters, A Man of our Times, The Doctors and Softly Softly: Task Force.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Analysts, Doctor in the House, Three Posts on the Square, A Man for All Seasons, A Christmas Carol and Black Coffee.
Douglas became a successful television writer, and penned editions of No Hiding Place, Esther Waters, A Question of Guilt, The Day of the Triffids, Cockles, Maigret and The Cazalets.
