Dorothy Townson appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in April 1989 as Barbara Dabner, the wife of accountant, Arthur Dabner, at Barkers' wholesale stationers; and she returned to the programme in September 1990 as Enid Dobson, the wife of Ralph Dobson, the bitter rival of Mike Baldwin at Ingram's Textiles.
Her only other known credit was for an episode of the Granada Television series Ladykillers in 1980.
