The Doctor was on duty at Weatherfield General when Graeme Proctor was rushed into casualty after being run down by David Platt on Victoria Street. He listened as the Paramedic gave them a resume of his condition. He later told a worried Tina McIntyre that Graeme had a broken ankle and two ribs which had also punctured his right lung. In addition to internal bleeding in his chest and abdomen, they were preparing themselves for possible injury to the neck and spine. Graeme recovered after an operation. David was charged with attempted murder but was released when it was confirmed that he suffered from a rare form of epilepsy and had suffered a blackout at the time that he was driving.
