The Doctor worked at Weatherfield General and was on duty when Eileen Grimshaw was brought in, having knocked herself out having tripped over a pile of Halloween pumpkins left outside 11 Coronation Street by Glenda Shuttleworth during a row with Gail Rodwell. George Shuttleworth and Sean Tully took her into A&E where the doctor examined her. He diagnosed mild concussion and discharged her but George and Sean objected, citing previous stories about deaths and personality changes and wanting to have a second opinion. A smiling, patient Eileen interjected, saying everything was fine, the doctor was "a lovely young man", and all she wanted was to return home. Ironically, George and Sean's fears seemed to be coming true Eileen treated everything with a sunny disposition. She was convinced she had a glimpse of heaven, but George realised it was a series of coincidental occurrences. Todd Grimshaw told her the truth, just as Gail accidentally spilled a drink on her, causing another row.
In January 2023, Alya Nazir was brought in after being stabbed by Blake Myers in a racist terrorist attack at Speed Daal. Alya had stepped in to protect the intended victim Maria Connor who waited with Alya's grandmother Yasmeen for news of Alya's condition. The doctor told them that she was being taken into surgery to operate on a punctured lung and he would ensure that they were kept informed of what was happening. The operation was successful, and Alya made a full recovery.
In the June, Cassandra Plummer was his patient after she was found unresponsive on the streets and the doctor told her mother Evelyn that she had taken an overdose of pregabalin. Having spent the previous Christmas trying to wean Cassie off the self-same drug, Evelyn needed no explanation as to what it was. The doctor sent Evelyn upstairs to see her daughter where a bitter row between the two ensued, but nevertheless resulted in mother and daughter holing themselves up in friend James Woodgate's flat for many weeks in another attempt to kick the habit.
Roy Cropper was his patient in July 2024. The genial cafe owner had undergone a traumatic year after being wrongfully accused of the murder of teenager Lauren Bolton, something for which he received much abuse from locals who didn't know him as well as others did. A group of yobs harassing him in Victoria Street was the final straw and soon afterwards he had a heart attack and rang for an ambulance himself before collapsing and needing CPR from the paramedics. At the hospital, the doctor suspected that a stent which had been fitted the previous June had failed and ordered that Roy be taken immediately into surgery. After several hours he was able to report back to his relieved friends and family that the operation had gone well, and Roy was now recovering in ITU where he was expected to stay for a few days.
