Derek Williams has appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Billy Bargain's Supermart manager Mr Jackson in October 1961
- The Restaurant Manager at the Elizabethan Rooms where newlyweds David and Irma Barlow had their reception in December 1965
- A barman at the Robin Hood named Reg in March 1970
- The Divisional Officer of the Fire Brigade who attempted to rescue Val Barlow in February 1971.
He also appeared in the spin-offs Pardon the Expression in 1966 and Turn out the Lights in 1967.
His other television credits include roles in Knight Errant Limited, Family Solicitor, Z Cars, The Chem. Lab. Mystery, The Odd Man, The Villains, The Liars, The Man in Room 17, Spindoe and The Dustbinmen.
On stage, he appeared in several Old Vic productions including Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Everyman, The Merchant of Venice, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The School for Scandal and Hamlet. Other works include Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew, The Shining Hour, Journey's End and The Importance of Being Earnest.
