Derek Farr (born "Derrick Capel Farr" on 7th February 1912 in Brentford, Middlesex; died 21st March 1986 in Hillingdon, Middlesex) appeared on Coronation Street in July 1973 as Newton & Ridley executive Patrick Ridley.
His other credits included roles in Fair Game, Dixon of Dock Green, Crossroads, Nightingale's Boys, Star Maidens, Big Boy Now!, Crown Court, London Belongs to Me, Breakaway, Pinkerton's Progress, Winter Sunlight and The Return of the Antelope.
Film roles included The Dam Busters, Doctor at Large and The Johnstown Monster.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Gate Revue, A House in the Square, Young Wives' Tale, Murder Mistaken, Trial and Error, Doctor Jo, One Bright Day, Odd Man In, Wolf's Clothing, Signpost to Murder, Arsenic and Old Lace, Not Now Darling and Let Sleeping Wives Lie.
