The Delivery Man was bringing a consignment of supplies to Speed Daal in June 2023 when he was intercepted outside the premises by Max Turner. He had just been released from a secure training centre after serving four months of a ten-month sentence for incitement to attempted murder where the victim was Alya Nazir. She had become the target of a racist teenager named Blake Myers. Having produced videos for Griff Reynolds's fascist group which Blake claimed had encouraged him, Max was full of remorse upon his release and wanted to make his feelings known to Alya, despite a condition being imposed on him that he did not approach her nor go within fifty yards of the restaurant. Hoping to circumvent this, he handed the delivery man a letter expressing his feelings to pass on to Alya. Grumpy with his work, the man was in no mood to acquiesce and asked Max if he looked like Postman Pat, but grudgingly went along with his request.

Alya was in no mood for forgiveness and made a formal complaint which led the police to caution Max for breaking the terms of his release.

Just over a year later, he brought a box back to Underworld which had been sent to a customer by mistake. These contained a consignment of counterfeit designer t-shirts which Beth Sutherland, Izzy Armstrong and Betsy Swain had been sewing fake labels onto, out of hours, for cash, using Carla Connor's machines without her knowledge. Having heard from the puzzled customer, she arranged for the box to be brought back, having put two and two together, and told the three ladies that upon its return the box would be handed over to the police. The women were fortunate that Carla was out when the man brought the box in as Beth had prepared another one with reject items within it as a substitute. Sally Metcalfe tried to take the box in her role as Carla's former PA but Izzy beat her to it and the man handed it over after a short squabble between the two women.
