Dec Lonsdale was a former work colleague of Josh Tucker at the Waltham & Son Garage in Bolton.

In May 2018, Shona Ramsey visited Dec's workplace to ask him questions about Josh, in the hope that she could find evidence to help prosecute Josh for his rape of her boyfriend David Platt. Dec told Shona that he had nothing to say about Josh.

As Dec walked off, Shona continued to dig for any information that he may have about Josh, telling him a cover story that he was asking a friend for some work. He informed Shona that Josh had been sacked for fighting with a customer and that underneath his fake cheeky chappy persona, he couldn't be trusted.
