Dawn Hope (born 1960 in Middlesex) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between May 2012 and March 2013 as Alison Soames, mother of Tyrone Dobbs's abusive partner, Kirsty Soames.
Her other television credits include roles in The Fosters, General Hospital, Television Club, Pickersgill People, Out, Somebody's People, Dempsey and Makepeace, Comics, Waiting for God, Casualty and Endeavour, along with the regular role of Pearl Anderson in Hollyoaks since 2021.
Film roles include Melody, Black Joy, Richard's Things and Midnight Breaks.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Metropolis Kabarett and Follies for the National Theatre. Other works include Chicago, They're Playing Our Song, Golden Girls, Little Shop of Horrors, Time, Ain't Misbehavin', Simply Heavenly, Porgy and Bess, Rough Crossings and Intimate Apparel.
