David Woodcock (born 1954 in Worthing) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in September 1991 as accounts clerk, Dennis Proctor, employed at the Weatherfield branch of Bettabuy; and he returned to the programme in October 2007 as a jeweller, who paid Cilla Battersby-Brown £45,000 for the necklace that had been given to her by the late Frank Nichols.
He graduated from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in 1975.
His other credits include roles in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Happy Ever After, Leap in the Dark, Sapphire & Steel, Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Sunshine, Young Dracula, All at Sea and Hollyoaks, along with the films Sparkle and Faust's Growth.
On stage, he appeared in productions of An Ideal Husband, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial and Les Miserables.
