David Williams is an actor who has played nine separate roles in Coronation Street:
- Harry, a Rovers customer in May and June 1973.
- A Man Customer at Sylvia's Separates in April 1976.
- A Breadman delivering to the corner shop in July and August 1980.
- Decorator Lew Crowther in May 1991.
- A Man at an Auction for the corner shop in September 1993.
- Garage mechanic Barry Halstead in November 1995 who was employed briefly at MVB Motors.
- The Mayor of Weatherfield who attended the funeral of Alf Roberts in January 1999.
- Weatherfield Historical Society member Walter Green in June 2002.
- OAP Stan Whitmore who appeared in March and April 2013 as an avid member of the One O'Clock Club.
In addition to the above roles, he also appeared in The Road to Coronation Street in 2010 as Jack, the commissionaire on the Granada Television reception desk.
Aside from the above, he has a long list of credits to his name with parts in Play for Today, The Whackers, Crown Court, Brookside, Bread, Waterfront Beat, In Suspicious Circumstances, All Quiet on the Preston Front, The Grand, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, The Cops, Wire in the Blood, Northern Lights, ChuckleVision, Street, Emmerdale, Peak Practice, The Bill, Shameless, Moving On and various parts in Heartbeat and Last of the Summer Wine.
In the 1960s and 1970s, he performed on stage with the Rainhill Garrick Society, for which is he is now President of the group, and is a regular matchday announcer for Prescot Cables FC.
