David MacCreedy (born 11th February 1969 in Workington, Cumbria) appeared on Coronation Street as DS Scott, the leading detective investigating the death of Polish worker Kasia Barowicz at Underworld during April 2007 and returned to the programme in January 2017 as Tom, an old friend of Pat Phelan's.
A trained soldier, his acting career spans over two decades and his credits include roles in A Time to Dance, Rumpole of the Bailey, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, A Touch of Frost, Dangerfield, Where the Heart Is, The Bill, Casualty, EastEnders, Dalziel and Pascoe, Murphy's Law, The Street, Heartbeat, Shameless, Hit & Miss and Accused, along with the feature films Captives, Up 'n' Under and Kinky Boots.
On stage he has appeared in productions of Love on the Dole, A Streetcar Named Desire, Macbeth, The Flame Haired Dynamo, Bouncers and Flatspin.
