David Jackson (born 15th July 1934 in Liverpool, died 25th July 2005 in London) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Det Con Chadwick in May 1967; and he returned to the programme in June 1968 as Mr Dean.

LAMDA trained, he also appeared in The Saint, The Avengers, The Sweeney, Space: 1999, Minder, Only Fools and Horses, Wyatt's Watchdogs, Edge of Darkness and Lovejoy but is best known as Olag Gan, one of the original characters in the first two series of Blake's Seven.

His film roles include 10 Rillington Place, Blood from the Mummy's Tomb, The Big Sleep, Killer's Moon and Danger on Dartmoor.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Much Ado About Nothing, The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra, Timon of Athens, Richard II, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Comedy of Errors and Titus Andronicus for the Old Vic. Other works include The Fire Raisers, England Our England, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, Hollow in the Sky, Fiddler on the Roof and Grand Hotel.
