David Fleeshman (born 11th July 1952 in Hillhead, Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- A morris dancer who was the only performer to show up out of a troupe of eight booked by Ken Barlow to appear at the street's Spring Bank Holiday fair in June 1976
- Estate agent Paul Haines in December 1979
- Police Superintendent Jevons, conducting an inquiry when Dean Sykes was fatally shot by markswoman Emma Taylor in October 2000
- Mr Austin, headmaster of Oakhill School, who appeared in both December 2004 and May 2005.
He trained at the Birmingham Theatre School and made his professional debut with the city's Rep in 1973, having made appearances in over 200 stage plays around the UK including Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, No More Sitting on the Old School Bench and The Rocky Horror Show. It was while appearing in pantomime in a production of Pinocchio that he met actress Sue Jenkins.
His other television credits include roles in Crown Court, Boys from the Blackstuff, Emmerdale Farm, The Practice, Capstick's Law, Edge of Darkness, Sam Saturday, How We Used to Live, Heartbeat, EastEnders, Brookside, Trial & Retribution, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Doctors, Donovan, All the Small Things, The Teacher and Princess Mirror-Belle.
David married Sue Jenkins in 1978 and they have three children; Emily Victoria, Rosie Annabelle and Richard Jonathan.
