David Bowen appeared on Coronation Street as the Vicar who officiated at the funeral service of Tony Horrocks in April 2000.

With a professional acting career spanning over forty years, his television work includes roles in Boon, Heartbeat, My Fragile Heart, Doctors, Emmerdale and New Tricks whilst on the big screen he has made appearances in Cold Fish, Splintered, Kill List, Pulp and How Not to Work. His theatre work has taken him all over the United Kingdom and Europe with productions which include Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Wind in the Willows, Habeas Corpus, Skylight, Henry V, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Burma Play, Alphabetical Order, Witness for the Prosecution and Inherit the Wind.

As well as appearing in a considerable number of corporate films/videos and short films, he has also been a reader with Interact Reading Service, an organisation that visits and reads to Stroke patients in hospital as a part of the recovery process.
