Darren Vance was a local Weatherfield entrepreneur who Dev Alahan sought to go into business with.

In July 2023, Darren planned to invest in a smaller Freshco unit and was looking for an investor. Dev attempted to suck up to Darren in the hopes of becoming the investor and brought his son Aadi along to their meeting. Darren warmed to Aadi and offered him the opportunity to become his right hand man and taking care of his day-to-day stuff while he worked on the deal. However, Aadi soon learned that this meant chauffeuring Darren's wife Courtney around.
