Darren Southworth has appeared in four roles in Coronation Street:
- A Postman who incurred the wrath of Vera Duckworth in September 2002
- Street Cars customer Brian in August 2005
- A Neighbour of Andrea Beckett's in July 2014 - at the house that she'd told Lloyd Mullaney was hers
- High Court enforcement agent Keith Patton between October and November 2017.
He has also appeared in Heartbeat, The Cops, Cold Feet, Shameless and Doctors while on the big screen he has been in Saving Grace and Calendar Girls. His stage roles include No Sleep for the Haunted, Desperate to be Doris, An Evening with Gary Lineker, The Bengal Lily and Ham! for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a musical in the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards in 2003. He has frequently appeared in pantomime in the role of one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella with one production at the Oldham Coliseum Theatre in 2002 being directed by ex-Coronation Street regular Judith Barker.
