Danielle was a member of the same Brazilian Crunch class that Liz McDonald and Poppy Morales used to frequently attend, along with Lloyd Mullaney, who Liz managed to persuade to be the DJ at the classes.
Taking a shine to Danielle, Lloyd made a lunch date with her and the pair met up at the Rovers. Danielle's entrance had not gone unnoticed by Liz, Poppy and Blanche Hunt in cahoots at the bar, all airing their own opinions of Danielle, her lack of intelligence, shapely figure and looks. Lloyd quickly became bored with Danielle's incessant wittering and made the excuse that he had got an important meeting he'd forgotten about. He apologised and got up to leave but Danielle was hot on his heels and reminded him she'd see him at the party - which had been organised for the crunch class members.
As the party got under full swing, Lloyd tried his hardest to avoid Danielle and eventually managed to escape her clutches when he started talking to Liz.
