Craig Joseph Charles (born 11th July 1964 in Liverpool) played the role of Lloyd Mullaney in Coronation Street on and off between 2005 and 2015, having been suspended in 2006 but returning in February 2007. The other role for which he is particularly well-known is that of Dave Lister in Red Dwarf. Craig can also be heard regularly as a radio presenter for the BBC.
Other credits include The Easter Stories, The Bill, The Governor, Captain Butler, EastEnders, Doctors, Holby City, Fated and Dream Team as well as narration on episodes of Cyberspace, Takeshi's Castle and presenting Robot Wars.
In addition to his abilities as a skilled actor, comedian and poet, he also had a stint as a professional footballer, most notably for Tranmere Rovers.
