Coronation Street Wiki

Where to begin! This Wiki is brand new, so there are many important tasks to be completed in the near future, many of which I'm probably not even aware of at the moment.

Main Pages[]

I've created articles for: Coronation Street and Corriepedia. These, along with the Main Page, only contain basic information at the moment, and need to be more comprehensive.

Recruiting More Users[]

This is also a big priority. I will assign Admin status to those who I trust and who of course are interested. My hope is that soon enough it will contain at least as much information on Corrie as Wikipedia.

Rewrite this page[]

It's clearly tailored for me at the moment, and needs to be more general, but I'm just getting the basics done first.

OK, a few friendly suggestions:
Any paragraph with "I" or "me" in it is comment and should therefore be signed and moved to a talk page or a forum page. These comments of mine should be moved along with yours!
This page, being about how the wiki is created and developed, is a "project" page, not a true "content" page. It should therefore be in the "Project:" namespace. Prefixing it with "Corriepedia:" doesn't do that (though it would if you managed to change the namespace name - but I don't recommend that!). It's still in the main namespace because only the formalised prefixes define any other namespace. I suggest you:
move it to Project:To do list; and
include it at the top of the list of pages in Category:Site maintenance so that people concerned with wiki improvement will notice it more often
I think your choice of the name "Corriepedia" for the "project" parts of the wiki is unfortunate, because it suggests encyclopaedic content whereas it is the opposite. Why not stick with the standard Category:Organisation? (I have no problem with your replacing the content category by the main subject name. I've done that on several Wikia sites.)
Wikia and Wikipedia style for page names and headings is to use sentence case, not Title Case. There are practical benefits:
a slight reduction in the time taken for typing links
being able to create a link to any article within ordinary text - such as the list of longest running characters - without any fiddly piped link procedure
no changes needed when you copy something from Wikipedia
I recommend that you observe that style convention.

I've implemented most of your suggestions. I wrote this page just after I started the wiki, and I'm still getting used to editing. (I intended to rewrite the article before recruiting more users so it wasn't like this for long). I don't get what you mean about sentence case though - the page names have to be capitalised, surely?
