Colin Meredith (born August 1952 in Rochdale) appeared on Coronation Street in six roles:
- Newton & Ridley representative, Mr Sanderson in February 1987
- A medium who passed on "information from the other side" at Weatherfield Spiritualist Church in September 1990
- Civil War fanatic, Laurence Burford in June 2002
- Peter, who along with his partner Paul, briefly employed David Platt at their upmarket salon in August 2008
- Underworld client Mark Anderson in December 2012
- Widower Mr Beetham, a prospective client of Shuttleworth's Independent Funeral Services poached by Rest Easy in August 2023.
After completing a three-year course in Acting at the Rose Bruford College, he has worked professionally since 1976, and for eighteen years has owned a production company which produces pantomime at The Gracie Fields Theatre in his home town.
His other credits include roles in Happy Families, Emmerdale Farm, All Creatures Great and Small, Brookside, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Heartbeat, Poirot, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, A Touch of Frost, Waterloo Road, Doctors, The Royal Today and Mount Pleasant.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Pennine Pleasures, The Importance of Being Earnest and Neville's Island.
