Clark was a paramedic who was called when Deirdre Barlow fell ill in March 2007 and later that year in October when Cilla Battersby-Brown found Frank Nichols had died in his sleep.
He was later one of the emergency crews who were deployed to the Street in December 2010 when it was rocked by an explosion from The Joinery bar, followed by a derailed tram from the wrecked viaduct. Sunita Alahan was found by Becky McDonald in the wreckage at the back of the Corner Shop while she was searching for a missing Max Turner. Once Dr. Matt Carter had examined her, he called the paramedic and he and his colleague took her in an ambulance to Weatherfield General for treatment.

In February 2022, he and his colleague were called to the Spirit of the Night nightclub where Amy Barlow had collapsed outside in the company of Jacob Hay and Asha Alahan. The youngsters had gone there, gaining entry by way of fake IDs supplied by Jacob, after a supposedly teetotal St Valentine's Day dance held at Weatherfield High. There, Amy had laced her soft drinks with alcohol after having already arrived tipsy from pre-drinks. At the nightclub, she had to be assisted out by Jacob who recognised the signs of drugs having been taken and he implored Asha to ring for an ambulance when the young girl collapsed. Clark asked Amy's friends to be honest about anything she might have taken, and Asha accused former drugs pusher Jacob as being responsible for her state. His fervent denials convinced her that he was telling the truth and they had only witnessed her drinking. Amy was rushed to the General where tests showed that her drinks at school had been laced with GBH.
