Cissie Burton was the daughter of Lilian Burton and sister of Louie, Amy and Edie Burton.
In 1991, Cissie contacted her niece Vera Duckworth to inform her that her mother Amy had suffered a fatal heart attack while playing a game of bingo. Cissie revealed that Amy's only wish was to ensure that Vera look after Joss Shackleton, the man who was believed to be Vera's father. Joss passed away in November 1993 and Cissie returned once again to help with funeral preparations.
