Ciaran Griffiths (born 3rd March 1983 in Manchester) appeared on Coronation Street in October 2000 as Dean Sykes, the younger brother of Linda Baldwin. Following an unsuccessful armed robbery attempt at Freshco's supermarket alongside accomplice Lenny Larkin, he was fatally shot by police markswoman Emma Taylor.
While attending St Mary's RC High School in Astley, he landed his first acting role in Children's Ward at the age of thirteen. Subsequent credits include roles in Stanton Blues, City Central, Emmerdale, Where the Heart Is, Heartbeat, Clocking Off, The Bill, Holby City, Waterloo Road, Shameless, The Mill and Staff Room.
