Ciaran Griffiths (born 3rd March 1983 in Manchester) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in October 2000 as Dean Sykes, the younger brother of Linda Baldwin. Following an unsuccessful armed robbery attempt at Freshco supermarket alongside accomplice Lenny Larkin, he was fatally shot by police markswoman Emma Taylor. He returned to the programme intermittently between December 2022 and October 2024 as Damon Hay, father of Jacob.
While attending St Mary's RC High School in Astley, he landed his first acting role in Children's Ward at the age of thirteen. Subsequent credits include roles in City Central, The Cops, Emmerdale, Where the Heart Is, Heartbeat, Clocking Off, The Bill, Holby City, Shameless, Waterloo Road, The Mill, Staff Room, Vera, Cold Feet, EastEnders and Casualty.
