Christopher Kent (born "Christopher John Brown" on 5th July 1960) appeared on Coronation Street in October 1991 as a jeweller who sold an eternity ring to Bet Gilroy, buying the piece on behalf of Alf Roberts as a gift to his wife, Audrey.
He graduated from Exeter University with a BA Hons (First Class) in English and Drama.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Germinal, The Government Inspector and Cyrano de Bergerac, and authored An Exquisite Harmony.
He is better known for his voice-over work in numerous television and radio advertisements, promos and documentaries. Married to actress Fenella Norman, who herself appeared on Coronation Street in two roles, the couple are directors of CKUK voice studio in London.
