Chris Walker (born 16th June 1964 in South Elsmall, West Yorkshire) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: from March to May 1997 he played decorator Ray Thorpe, who romanced Tricia Armstrong. He returned to the programme from December 2005 to March 2006 as repentant killer Ed Jackson, who had murdered Ernest Bishop in January 1978 (the part then being played by Dave Parke).

Chris has played a long list of roles since his television debut in the mid-1980s. He had a regular role in the football drama The Manageress from 1989 to 1990, a recurring role in Playing the Field from 1998 to 2002, twenty episodes as PC Larry 'Tiger' Barton in Merseybeat from 2001 to 2002 and four parts in Doctors - although the first three were for only one episode, the fourth, Rob Hollins, he has played regularly since July 2009. He also had parts in The Bill, Peak Practice and Our Friends in the North.

On film he played in When Saturday Comes with Sean Bean and The Fourth Protocol with Michael Caine.

Away from acting, Chris enjoys gourmet cooking and is a public speaker on both subjects.
