Chris Hargreaves appeared on Coronation Street in five roles:
- A paperboy in April 1985
- A florist's delivery boy in April 1988
- Dean Lockwood, who ran an amusement arcade for his boss Phil Jennings and appeared intermittently between October 1990 and July 1991
- T-shirt buyer Macca McCartney in February 1994
- Thug Carl Foster in November 1998.
His other credits include roles in Seaview, G.B.H., Emmerdale, The Chief, Casualty, City Central, Stingers and Hollyoaks, along with the films Street Hero, Shooting Stars, No Escape, Like It Is, Music to My Ears and Gatwick Gangsters.
In more recent years, he has received credits for stunt work and safety supervision in productions including The Lost World, Australian Survivor, McLeod's Daughters, Sea Patrol, Surviving Summer and Savage River.
