Charlotte

Charlotte Brontë was a pet chicken owned by Sharif and Yasmeen Nazir.

In December 2014, Alya Nazir bought Charlotte and several other chickens as a Christmas present for her grandfather. Throughout the following January Sharif’s newfound interest in his chickens led to light-hearted ridicule from his family, but Yasmeen soon found herself annoyed when he became obsessed with them. The chickens also began to annoy next-door neighbour Sally Metcalfe when she found Charlotte in her conservatory after the chickens escaped from No.6.

Eventually, Sharif grew tired with looking after the chickens and often palmed the responsibility onto his son Kal and grandson Zeedan. When Sharif’s seven-year affair with Sonia Rahman was exposed in November 2016 Yasmeen began to take care of them herself (seeing them as having also been abandoned by Sharif).

In June 2019, Yasmeen’s controlling partner Geoff Metcalfe insinuated that he had killed Charlotte and served it to Yasmeen and Sally Metcalfe. Although it later turned out that he had been joking. However, months later in February 2020 Geoff went through with killing Charlotte and served her to Yasmeen - leaving her horrified.
