Charles Albert Haggith (born 22nd September 1925 in Hackney, London; died 23rd October 1989 in Lancaster) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in December 1981 as a customer in the Rovers when Annie Walker introduced her "Cocktail Hour"; and he returned to the programme in April 1984 as TV Licensing officer Mr Tucker, who established that Jack and Vera Duckworth were not in possession of a current, valid licence.
His other credits included roles in Z Cars, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, The Expert, Airline, Crown Court, Brookside and First Among Equals.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Merchant of Venice, Buck Ruxton, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, The Duke's Drum, Dracula, Adventure in the Deep, The Odd Couple, The Phantom of the Opera, Old King Cole, See How They Run and Macbeth for Duke's Playhouse Company, Lancaster. Other works included Loophole, Pickwick, Pravda and Noises Off.
