Ced Beaumont (died 2002) appeared in Coronation Street in two roles: in November 1977 as a Lorry Driver who inadvertently stopped Deirdre Langton from committing suicide and in May 1987 as Mr Rogers.

He also appeared in Second City Firsts, That's My Boy, All Creatures Great and Small, Heartbeat, Out of the Blue, Daziel and Pascoe, Stanton Blues, Clocking Off, Phoenix Nights, Where the Heart Is and Blood Strangers.

During the Second World War he served in the Royal Navy and for most of his career, he was a stand-up comic and entertainer, first appearing at the age of 25, sometimes known as "Ceddie Beaumont" and working alongside Marti Caine Bernard Manning, Jim Bowen and Roy "Chubby" Brown.
