Catherine Neilson (born 3rd October 1957) appeared on Coronation Street between December 1978 and January 1979 as Karen Barnes, who received reading lessons from Ken Barlow.
Her other credits include roles in Yanks Go Home, World's End, Widows, Codename: Kyril, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Wipe Out and Yellowthread Street, along with the films Firepower, The Wicked Lady, Biggles, White Mischief, White Hunter Black Heart and The Trial.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Make and Break and Neaptide.
