Carrie was the manager of the hotel in Manchester that Ciaran McCarthy planned to book for his wedding to Michelle Connor. Having recently lost £1,000 in a game of poker, Ciaran desperately persuaded Carrie to keep the venue available for a few days so that he could gather some money. However, on the day Carrie said was the latest, Ciaran failed to show up and book the venue and Michelle discovered this when she went to the venue herself and Carrie informed her that the venue had gone to somebody else.
