Caroline Strong appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly between November and December 2000 as Weatherfield General-based renal consultant, Mrs Allen; and she returned to the programme between November and December 2015 as Dee Grayson, a burglary victim of Michael Rodwell.
Her other television credits include roles in Prime Suspect, Wire in the Blood, Monroe, Vincent, Moving On, Waterloo Road, At Home with the Braithwaites, Clocking Off, My Fragile Heart, Reversals, Trust, Island at War, Thin Ice, New Street Law, Sirens, Drop the Dead Donkey and Emmerdale.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Playing with Fire at the National Theatre, Caribbean Abroad at Manchester Library Theatre and more recently, as Maureen in the Liverpool run of Granny Jackson's Dead for Big Telly Theatre Company.
She has also worked extensively in theatre and radio. She was a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company at Broadcasting House with over forty credits across Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service including her Radio Times-nominated role as Georgy in Georgy Girl.
She directs, writes and produces for the Scottish indie Mousehole Films, which she runs with ecologist/wildlife cinematographer, Danny Strong and producer/scientific content director, Dr Gabriel Strong. Their most recent documentary, The Bough Breaks, has just completed its screening tour, has been awarded or selected in ten international film festivals and is now distributed by Good Docs (USA).
