Caroline Clegg (born in Lancashire) appeared on Coronation Street in six roles:
- A policewoman attending Weatherfield General to glean information from a semi-conscious Hilda Ogden regarding a violent assault and robbery in November 1987
- An estate agent handling the sale of 9 Coronation Street for Gary Mallett in September 2000
- Doctor Pearce in January 2002
- Ophthalmologist Paula Scott, whose patient was Ashley Peacock between November and December 2005
- A doctor treating Liam Connor after falling down a gorge in the Lake District during January 2008
- A nurse named Maggie who appeared between December 2009 and January 2010 to discuss breast cancer treatment with Sally Webster.
She moved to London at the age of seventeen to study as an actor and dancer, then completed an MA in Music and Drama at the University of Manchester before beginning a career as staff director at Welsh National Opera.
Her other credits include roles in Stay Lucky, Three Seven Eleven, Heartbeat, Doctors, The Royal, Holby City, Candy Cabs and 4 O'Clock Club.
On stage, she directed productions of Not About Heroes and Blue Remembered Hills for the Feelgood Theatre Productions - a company which she founded in 1994.
More recently, she is better known off-screen as an award-winning international theatre and opera director as well as a presentation coach.
