Carol Noakes appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:

A Desk WPC who in November 1989 detained a concerned Jenny Bradley at the front desk of Weatherfield Police Station while her father Alan was being questioned regarding a break-in at The Kabin
Sister Walker, the superior of Martin Platt in March 1992
DC Robinson, who assisted in the search for Alison Webster when she kidnapped Bethany Platt in June 2000.

Her other credits include roles in The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, Medics, Children's Ward, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Hollyoaks, City Central, Cold Feet, Holby City, Emmerdale, Bonekickers and the 1997 movie Downtime.

Also a qualified voice coach, she is the director of the company Voice Ltd, based in Highgate, London.
