Carla Mendonça (born 16th November 1961 in Coventry) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between September 2021 and October 2024 as Weatherfield High's deputy head Orla Crawshaw.
She studied Dramatic Arts and Theatre Studies at Warwick University and has also appeared in The Young Ones, Pushing Up Daisies, Saturday Live, Coming Next, Lytton's Diary, The Satellite Show, KYTV, Bottom, Hale and Pace, Motormouth, French and Saunders, Wycliffe and the Cycle of Death, The Legends of Treasure Island, Rebecca, Smith and Jones, Spark, Harry Enfield and Chums, Comedy Nation, Baddiel's Syndrome, My Dad's the Prime Minister, My Parents Are Aliens, Roman's Empire, Scoop, Great Night Out, The Coroner, So Awkward and Doctors.
On film she has been seen in Hilary and Jackie, Common People, Jam as well as the shorts The Red Peppers and Desire of the Pitbull Warrior.
Stage roles include parts in Noises Off, Too Clever By Half, The Mouse and His Child, The Curse of the Starving Class, The Killing of Sister George, In the Club, As You Like It, King Lear, Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure and Daisy Pulls It Off.
