Bryan Hulme appeared on Coronation Street in January and March 1961 as Teddy Boy Bryan. He also appeared as Dennis Tanner in the second of the programme's two dry runs.
He also played several small parts at about this time, including a minor role in the Oscar-nominated film Tunes of Glory and the television serials Captain Moonlight: Man of Mystery, Knight Errant Limited, The Secret Kingdom and the BBC play Girl on a Roof.
On stage, he appeared in a 1959 production of Dispersal at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.
