Bridget Woodrow is the daughter of Stu Carpenter and Lucy Woodrow, and mother to Eliza.

In the late 1980s, Stu was convicted of Charlie Walter's murder - a young woman that he had engaged in an affair with - and spent 27 years in prison. Upon his release he spent a period of time homeless before being taken in by Yasmeen Metcalfe who encouraged him to reconnect with his daughter. Bridget was unwilling to form a relationship with her father and Stu received a visit from Lucy who warned him to back off before exposing his secret to Yasmeen.

After initially turning their backs on Stu, Yasmeen and her grandchildren, Alya and Zeedan, became determined to prove Stu's innocence by reopening the investigation that saw him wrongly convicted. Stu decided that it would be best to let Bridget know about his intention to reopen the case but when he visited her house again he came into contact with Eliza, the granddaughter he didn't know he had. Lucy visited Stu again and offered to allow him contact with his family on the condition that he dropped the fight to prove his innocence, however Stu refused to do so.

Having hired Dee-Dee Bailey to look over the case, Alya was advised to follow up with Bridget about her and Lucy's statement that they hadn't heard Stu come home on the night of Charlie's murder. Bridget was initially hostile towards Alya but eventually had a change of heart and paid a visit to Stu offering to allow him to properly be introduced to Eliza.
