Brian Dunkley was the husband of Alison Dunkley. He was involved in a two-year affair with his wife's sister, Denise Osbourne. When the affair was exposed in 1996, Brian and Denise fled for a new life together in Scotland. Denise originally left her son Daniel in the care of his father, Ken Barlow, but she soon returned for the child.
By 2007, Denise and Brian had ended their relationship, with Denise moving back to the Manchester area.
