Brian Capron was born 11th February, 1947 in Eye, Suffolk and played the roles of social worker Don Worthington between 1981 and 1986 and, more memorably, Richard Hillman between 2001 and 2003 in Coronation Street. He also appeared in General Hospital, Beryl's Lot and A Place to Hide but prior to his appearances in the Street was best known to viewers as Mr Hopwood, the teacher in the first few years of Grange Hill.

Brian made a brief cameo appearance in the 2010 Corrie DVD Spin-off Coronation Street: A Knight's Tale as Dickie the Boatman.
