Brian Capron

Brian Capron was born 11th February, 1947 in Eye, Suffolk and played the roles of social worker Don Worthington between 1981 and 1986 and, more memorably, Richard Hillman between 2001 and 2003 in Coronation Street. He also appeared in General Hospital, Beryl's Lot and A Place to Hide but prior to his appearances in the Street was best known to viewers as Mr Hopwood, one of the teachers in Grange Hill during the early 1980s.

Brian made a brief cameo appearance in the 2010 Coronation Street DVD Spin-off Coronation Street: A Knight's Tale as boatman Dickie, which acted as an in-joke related to his iconic role as Richard Hillman.

Brian has also appeared in Come Dine With Me UK. In May 2014 he presented his former co-star Helen Worth with her Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards, 2014.
