Billy Nuttall was a singer taking part in the talent contest at The Queens pub in July 1993. The other competitors were Jack Duckworth and Bruce McDuff, but all three men were left disappointed when last-minute entrants Angie Freeman and Denise Osbourne - performing under the name 'The Soap Sisters' - beat them to the £50 prize with an impromptu duet of Fever.
