Bill Nagy (born 21st February 1921 in Hungary, died 19th January 1973 in Hampstead, London) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in June 1961 as former GI Joe Baumgarten; and he returned to the programme intermittently between April 1967 and December 1970 as GI Gregg Flint.
He was raised in Toronto, Canada and his first job was as a professional exhibition ballroom dancer before attending drama school in New York. He was married former actress Janet McFarlane.
His other television credits included roles in Anne of Green Gables, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Vise, The Adventures of Aggie, Knight Errant Limited, The Cheaters, The Avengers, The Saint, Danger Man, The Man in Room 17, The Troubleshooters, Sexton Blake and Madigan.
Numerous film roles included A Tale of Five Cities, River Beat, The Stolen Airliner, The Adventures of Clint and Mac, Our Man in Havana, Night of the Prowler, The White Bus and Scorpio, along with the James Bond films Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice.
On stage, he appeared in a 1958 production of The Rose Tattoo.
