William Croasdale (born 11th May 1929 in Blackpool, died 15th January 1990 in Barnsley) played five guest roles in Coronation Street episodes over three decades:
- A Policeman who investigated several matters in Coronation Street in December 1960 and May 1961 & August 1961
- Street milkman Bert Lodge in January 1965 who got a similar job for Stan Ogden
- Registrar Mr Fearnley in March 1978 at the wedding of Alf Roberts and Renee Bradshaw
- Registrar Mr Cartwright in September 1980 at the wedding of Emily Bishop and Arnold Swain
- Colin, the clerk of court present in October 1989 at the trial of Alan Bradley for his assault on Rita Fairclough.
In addition he appeared in a second season episode of the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression and a second season episode of The Brothers McGregor.
Away from Coronation Street, he also appeared in Knight Errant Limited, The Odd Man, It's Dark Outside, The Villains, The Man in Room 17, Mr Rose, The Good Companions, Emmerdale Farm, The Spoils of War, How We Used to Live, Last of the Summer Wine, Brookside, Bulman, First Among Equals, Crown Court, All Creatures Great and Small and Watching.
On stage, he appeared in productions of All in Good Time and To Kill a Mockingbird.
In the 1960s he was a regular continuity announcer for Granada Television.
